Student loan consolidation look this gift horse in the mouth. Part II

* Part I Don't get into debt. Ways to avoid it.

* Part II This article

Part II

------

Imagine two people

Each has a student loan consolidation debt of $100 000. The born loser will soon have borrowed more. The investor uses the student loan consolidation as a springboard to become a millionaire.

What's different between them? The mindset, and only the mindset. Get the right mindset.

---------

The big trap

---------

Have you a strong willpower? Will you go on a spending spree and owe $5000 on each card tomorrow? A student loan consolidation is not for you. Read Part III of this article.

Have you the will power to master your finances? Combine student loan consolidation with Part III.

------------

What is Student Loan Consolidation?

------------

You transfer all your existing loans to one low-interest account.

What's in student loan consolidation for you?

* If you have Stafford loans in the USA, you’ll have a grace period of six months after graduation to take out a student loan consolidation.

* Interest rates are lower

* Easier to remember payment dates with one loan

* Improved credit rating

Credit cards might charge 20% interest. Wouldn't a student loan consolidation at 5% be better?

Look for extra discounts on student loan consolidation during the grace period. Do you get an extra discount after 2 years of prompt payments.

Do your homework properly. Were you only paying 3% fixed interest on your Stafford loans and interest rates have gone up to 8% variable rate on your student loan consolidation? How high could the rates go? If you get a fixed rate student loan consolidation, and new student loan consolidations fall to 3%?

Computers calculate your credit rating. Suppose you took out a subsidised and an unsubsidised Stafford loan for each of four years. Computers can't really think. They see that you have 8 long-term loans and never paid back a single cent. You’re obviously a very bad credit risk before your student loan consolidation!

After your student loan consolidation computers see that you've only 1 loan and you're making regular payments. They give you an excellent credit rating. Don't spoil it with new credit card debts.

-----------

Avoiding student loans

-----------

In part 1 you read about vital life skills that mean lower student loans for student loan consolidation, or even none. You can make your money go twice as far, which means that you'll effectively be twice as rich, and the IRS can't touch you for it.

Without these life skills, you'll be helpless when you suddenly have to pay for food and lodgings, credit card, car loan, mortgage, health... it's never-ending! Many students can't handle it. Part III will help you even if you have a student loan consolidation.

Have you decided on student loan consolidation?

* Check how much they will lend

* Can you consolidate your other debts... credit card and car loan?

* Will you need proof of income?

* Can you choose between fixed and variable interest?

* Are there pre-payment penalties? Avoid them like the plague!

* What are the penalties if you default? If you are unemployed or lack self-discipline you are likely to default.

* What other loans must you get - mortgage, kid's schooling?

Avoid lenders that make you start repayments of your student loan consolidation the day after the grace period. Check for special incentives. A 1% discount after 2 years regular payments may not sound like much, but it adds up over time.

Negotiate. Lenders are eager to lend you money, however much they bluff. They are legally allowed to lend 35 times as much money as they have, and they make no profit until they lend it.

"No start-up costs" may be good, but low interest rates and absence of prepayment penalties for your student loan consolidation are better.

-----------

What's in Part III

------------

A better alternative to student loan consolidation?

* Build self discipline.

* How will interest rates for student loan consolidation change next 20 years? Don't know? Then student loan consolidation might not be the best bargain.

* You’ll be in control... not at the mercy of student loan consolidation providers.

Don't be a loan addict all your life. The ideas in

part III were used by an Australian to become a millionaire.

Getting your bread to rise for light airy loaves

Homemade bread shouldn’t be dense. You can make light airy loaves that are every bit as good as the bread from the local bakery. The secret is in using quality ingredients and getting your bread to rise properly. In this article, we’ll examine the factors that make your bread rise.

There are five important factors that make the difference between light, airy bread and a dense flop. None is difficult to manage—in fact, yeast is quite forgiving—but you’ll be a better bread baker if you understand these factors.

Yeast is a living organism. As with any other living organism, it needs an acceptable environment in which to grow and multiply. As the yeast grows, it produces carbon dioxide gas that lifts the dough and creates an airy structure.

There are five factors that affect how fast yeast will grow.

Factor 1: Temperature

Yeast is extremely sensitive to temperature. Ten degrees difference in the temperature of the dough profoundly affects the growth rate of yeast.

The temperature where yeast grows best is around 78 degrees. The temperature of the dough is the result of the temperature of the water that you use, the flour temperature, the temperature in your kitchen, and how long you mix the dough in your mixer. (The mixing of the dough creates friction which can raise the dough temperature.) Water that is 105 to 115 degrees mixed with cooler flour is intended to create a dough temperature close to 78 degrees. In a bread machine, we use cooler water because of the warm, closed environment of the bread machine.

If you want to be a great bread baker, use a thermometer. Carefully measure the water temperature. In all of our recipe and mix development work, we measure water temperature to one degree accuracy. You will also want to use your thermometer to check the temperature of the dough and the temperature of the baked loaf to assure that it is baked properly.

Factor 2: Time

The longer the yeast is allowed to work, the more gas is created. In the right environment, yeast doubles and doubles again.

Bread is ready for the oven when it has doubled in volume, become soft, and is full of gas--not when the timer goes off. In a cooler kitchen, that might take a while.

With a bread machine, the bread begins to bake when the timer goes off whether it has risen or not. Since we can’t manipulate time when using a bread machine, we control yeast growth with other factors so that has risen optimally when the bread begins to bake.

Factor 3: Quantity of Yeast

The quantity of yeast in the recipe makes a difference. Usually, a baker controls the rise with other factors and does not change the quantity of yeast. However, in a very cool environment you may want to increase the yeast slightly and in a very warm environment, reduce the yeast.

Factor 4: Quantity of Water

Dough must be soft and flexible in order to rise properly--a factor of how much water is in the dough. If the dough is stiff, it is difficult for the expanding gases to lift the dough and create volume. After your dough is kneaded, it should be soft and nearly sticky. As a general rule when mixing bread, error on the side of too much water.

A softer dough will rise much more quickly than a stiff dough and so in your bread machine, a stiff dough will not rise properly before the baking begins. One of the easiest adjustments that you can make to a bread machine recipe or mix that doesn’t perform quite right is adjust the water by a tablespoon.

Factor 5: Salt

Salt kills yeast and a too salty dough will impede yeast growth. One-half teaspoon of salt in a recipe makes quite a difference.

Always measure salt carefully. If you want to speed up the rise, reduce the salt by 1/2 teaspoon. Add a similar amount to slow the rise.

Why do we care how fast the bread rises? In a bread machine, it is critical. On the counter, within reasonable bounds, it probably doesn’t make a difference. In fact, the flavors trapped in bread dough improve with age. A long, slow age creates terrific bread. Still, you are a more competent baker if you understand what is going on inside that ball of dough.

10 ways to find the best price on hotels

Planning a trip has become increasing difficult as there are so many options to choose from. After finding a hotel that suits all your needs you need to ascertain whether you are getting a good rate. When you ask a travel agent or refer to a brochure for rates what you get is the generally quoted rate for room. But if you are wise you can get a better deal and save a lot of money.

1. Surf the net and see what online travel sites like Expedia, Hotels. com, or Travelocity are offering. Or you could browse the hotel web site to find a good deal. Many sites list special offers as well as discounts.

2. Use a search tool to like BookingBuddy. com or Travel Axe to compare various offers and rates.

3. Look for what is known as “lowest rate guarantee” these are mainly on offer online but are subject to advance booking and very harsh cancellation policies. Even if the price offered online is attractive do call the hotel up and see if they are willing to better the rate.

4. Opaque-pricing travel sites like Hotwire or priceline do offer good rates for good hotels. The only downside is you cannot specify a hotel. All you can do is indicate where you want accommodation. The reservation needs to be made online and is non refundable and one cannot change plans or cancel.

5. Consider purchasing an Entertainment book discount for between US$22 to 45. Becoming a member entitles you to discounts of 50% on the rack rate of member hotels. But these discounts are only available when the occupancy rate of the hotel is less than 80%. Check out the great options at: entertainment. com/discount/home. shtml.

6. Ask about weekend rates. Often hotels that cater to business travelers have great rates on what they consider off season, weekends.

7. If you plan your trip well in advance you could get a discount of 50% or more during off season.

8. Some hotels have special rates for members of AAA, American Automobile Association and other professional bodies or clubs. Call the hotel of your choice and ask them if they do have such schemes.

9. If you are traveling in a group ask about group rates or family rates. Most hotels have different options for multiple bookings. Some even offer a day or two additional stay at no extra cost.

10. When you leave the airport or railway station or just drive in to a town stop at a gas station and find out if they have hotel coupon booklets. These many a time have great offers for visitors.

To get the best deal you need to be thorough as well as flexible. Just as you spend time sourcing air tickets at bargain prices you can do the same for hotel bookings. Read all travel offers carefully, set aside any discount booklets your bank or credit card company sends you for use when you travel. If you are smart you will save quite a lot.

Financial planning for retirement for worry-free retirement

Planning can be a tedious activity especially if you are planning for retirement. Many people realize how advantageous financial planning for retirement can be while others find it mysterious.

In fact, most experts say that for people who are only making enough money to make due payments in each month, then it means that they should start contemplating on how they can still make money even if they are already retired.

Surveys show that almost 75% of the American population is earning enough money to pay their monthly bills. This means that they do not have any extra money to put in a bank or in any financial institution that could provide them enough profit after their retirement.

What's more Social Security is not enough guaranteed income for retired people to live on. Actually, it is still a big question if one’s Social Security will still exist when the retirement day comes.

Hence, it is extremely important to generate some methods that will provide an individual a reasonable amount of money in the future. This should be done regardless of how much an individual earns, the important thing is to start saving today.

1. Visualize and calculate

It is important for a person to visualize his or her own situation after retirement. Then, you can calculate how much money is needed to live on after retirement. Furthermore, people need earnings that compensate 75% of the present amount that he or she is expected to take home.

2. It is important to seek the help of a financial planner or any person competent in financial planning.

By asking for advice from the experts, you will be able to gain more knowledge know how to proceed for you situation. These people are proficient and knowledgeable in all kinds of financial planning and they can provide the most feasible and workable approach for your individual needs.

3. Get rid of loans, debts, and other financial obligations in as little time as possible.

By simply paying off all debts, loans, and other financial obligations in a shorter period of time, you can realize a substantial amount to invest for that retirement. A good financial planner will know exactly how to direct you so you can meet your retirement goals.

Finding the best malaga car hire company

A Malaga car hire is a good idea, if you want to travel freely throughout the city and surrounding areas. It is more convenient than public transportation. You can see all the sites on your own time table, rather than having to plan all your outings according to the schedule of public transportation.

Malaga airport is located about six kilometres west of the city. A car hire is a convenient service for tourists. Many car hire companies operate right at the airport for your convenience. Companies in the city will arrange to pick you up at the airport and drop you back off at the end of your vacation.

Finding the Best Malaga Car Hire

You can find car hire companies through a travel agent or search online. Compare prices both in person and on the internet to find the best deal on the car you want. Most companies employ bilingual people to make communication easier with tourists.

Shop around when looking for a car. All companies advertise the lowest price, but there can be big differences. Some companies give a base price for the car and charge extra for things like unlimited mileage, insurance, airport taxes, roadside assistance and a second driver. Other companies include these things in one price. Be sure you know what is included.

Don’t shop only by price, but compare styles and extras when choosing the best company. Some extras may not be necessary, but others are important. You will want a car with air conditioning, particularly if you are travelling in the summer. It gets very hot in Malaga and you won’t want to be stuck in a hot car.

When possible, it’s easier to arrange to pick up and drop off the car at the airport. This is more convenient for you and in most cases; you won’t save money by using a company at your destination. You also won’t have to rely on the company to pick you up and drop you back off for your flight home.

When you reserve your car, be sure to reserve a car seat, if you are travelling with small children. Child safety seats are the law in Spain. Just because you have a reservation for a car, doesn’t mean a seat will be available when you arrive at the airport. They can run out of seats, especially in the busier seasons. Be sure to reserve according to the age and weight of your child to ensure you will have the right seat.

Save Money on a Malaga Car Hire

Book early to get a better price on your car hire. In addition, reserving the car early will give you more choices in available cars. Waiting until just before your trip can result in limited availability. You may not get the size or accessories you want in a vehicle.

Consider what you really need in terms of size and luxury. How many people will be travelling with you? If you are bringing the family, you will need a larger vehicle. A couple may be able to get by with a smaller, economy car. This can save you money. Since you won’t be spending much time in the car, you may not need all the extras and can save money. A compact car is also better on fuel, which can save you even more money.

Check online for better deals. There is less chance of a mistake with your reservation when you reserve your car on the internet. Also, car hire companies have less overhead with online reservations. Less overhead can translate into savings for you.

Online credit cards

Credit card offers come in the mail everyday. They all claim that you are pre approved to receive a credit card. All you have to do is call the number to apply. The problem is that once you have called, you spend weeks, sometimes months to receive notification that you have been approved or denied. This has led to the development of online credit card applications. When you apply online, you receive an answer within minutes instead of waiting long periods of time just to find that you have been denied.

A person who has good credit should have no problems obtaining a credit card online. Often you will find that credit cards online have better rates than other card companies. It is important that you know what your credit score is before you apply and using the Internet to find it is very fast and easy. Many sites offer free credit reports for consumers.

It is recommended that you check your credit report at least twice a year to catch any discrepancies.

When you are denied a credit card, it will show on your credit report. This can further damage your credit rating. It is important that you fix any problems that do not look favorable on your credit report. This may not be as simple as it sounds, however it is very important that you take care of it as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to your credit rating.

When you know what your credit score is, you can go online and apply for the appropriate credit card. It takes minutes to get an answer.

All credit card applications will ask for personal information. This includes your name, address, telephone number, social security number, age and income and employer. Failing to provide any of this information will result in a denial of the credit card.

It is important that you understand all of the terms of service before you apply for your credit card. Once you have signed the contract it is legally binding. You cannot claim that you did not understand.

The TOS will be listed on the site that you choose. If it is not, choose another site. The most important aspect is to know what the APR is for the card that you are applying for.

It is important that you research the site that you are applying to. You will be giving your personal information online, and you want to make sure that it is a secure site.

An encryption of anything less than SSL 128 bit is leaving yourself open for identity theft. This encryption level is the standard and is considered to be “hacker proof.” Thereby ensuring that your information is safe and secure.

When you have finished filling out the application, double check it to make sure there are no errors. Once you send it, you will have your answer within minutes. Most companies will notify you on screen; however, some will send an answer in the mail. If your application is denied, than you will receive notification and the reason why.

When your application is approved, you will receive your card within a few days. It is sent through the mail and available to use upon activation.

It is now easier than ever to apply for a credit card. When you use online methods, your answer is just a mouse click away. It is no longer necessary to wait weeks to get an answer to your credit card application.

Shopping for a chic pied-a-terre in singapore

An article in the International Herald Tribune talks about the variety of ‘modern luxury condos’ that have been developed in Singapore. Whilst good workmanship and quality of materials have been cited as factors that make Singapore’s condominiums desirable and have allowed its property market to be categorized as aspirational , the rush to tap into the renewed interest in private properties and the craze for ‘modern’ design has spawned varying interpretations of modern, contemporary architecture.

Following the early entries into modern development projects(The Loft on Nassim, Paterson Edge) came a slew of less distinguished developments. The progenitor of luxury living and sophisticated, boutique developments, SCGlobal has added BLVD to its luxurious troika of urbane, uptown developments.

Even more mainstream developers, more known for generic housing projects have incorporated more edgy design elements to stand out from the rest of the developments. The efforts seem to have paid out - Far east Organization’s ‘Icon’ sold out in an otherwise dreary property market. Located close to the CBD area and next to an MRT station, these loft apartments which afforded buyers a more customized, tailor made package by allowing buyers to choose from a different combination of finishes, this development made headlines when the better units were bought and ‘flipped’- reminiscent of the pre-1996 property boom years. The Central at SOHO similarly employs a more experimental approach towards showflat design and marketing - spiral staircases connected by strings of thick rope and a showflat that opens beyond 10pm on weekend nights.

Whilst there are projects that continue to try to distinguish itself by employing radical design ideas(a la the all glass faзade of Edge at Cairnhill, Moshe Safdie’s latest development in Singapore), there are many more that simply adopt vague interpretations of modern, resulting in modern developments of the most contemptible exteriors, undistinguished in its sterilized homogeneity.

Older, modern developments

Developments distinguished by interesting architecture are by no means a recent phenomenon in Singapore. Some of the more interesting developments include Paul Rudolph’s Colonnade on Grange Road, Moshe Safdie’s Habitat I and II and the Futura apartments on Leonie Hill. Moshe Safdie’s Habitat apartments on Ardmore Park - Habitat I and Habitat II have had different fates - the Habitat I project, with larger units of 3300sqft and above, have benefited from a recent makeover by Eco-Id architects, resulting in a concierge desk of lit, opalescent faux mother of pearl that speaks luxury. The entrance to the pool area is a wide swivel door made of glass with wooden handles and the previously depressingly aged pool has taken on modern, streamlined proportions with a parallel slab of concrete running through its side for architectural impact. The result is a rejuvenated development that is more in synch with the times and keeps up with the avant garde character of the building. Its sister development Habitat II, maisonettes of 2500sqft is sadly up for en-bloc re-development. Paul Rudolph’s Colonnade has similarly had its ground refurbished by Kerry Hill architects and remain a favourite for the expatriate crowd looking to rent spacious apartments in a good location.

Size and modernity

Going by the recent offerings of ‘modern’ developments, a good square footage of 2000sqft and above does not seem to co-exist with modern design elements without an associated price tag. Most modern developments - the result of enbloc sales and consequent subdivision have yielded paltry square footages of 850sqft for a studio apartment to 1100sqft for a 3 bedroom. Top end luxury developments such as the Grange Residences and BLVD, with a square footage of 2030sqft and up, come with price tags of $4m and above.

Savvy home buyers, keen on spacious apartments without the associated price tags have sought out older developments - with run down facilities and common grounds no doubt, but with views of greenery not afforded by the newer developments. The result is often a home with finishes to rival, if not trump - the best developments in the market. Renovated apartments in these older developments have attracted a new niche market - home buyers frustrated by their need for larger space and modern design elements.

A new trend, but a significant one nonetheless, judging from the sales of such apartments recently and certainly bids well for the design scene on the property market in Singapore.

An anti-aging hgh product exclusive

Anyone that has ever been seriously concerned with aging has probably explored the realms of an anti-aging HGH product. HGH or Human Growth Hormone, is a hormone used by the body to promote development. The hormone is specifically linked to growth, and the advancing changes that cause a child to progress to adulthood.

So what does HGH have to do with anti-aging, and why would someone make an anti-aging HGH product? Well, along with promoting the growth and development of a human, HGH can be used to control other internal systems as well. It can specifically target metabolic body functions, and help control our body’s reaction to storing fat, meaning the use of HGH can cause an increase of metabolic function, and a quickening of fatty breakdown. For many this is a restoration of more youthful body function. Fats break down quicker, exercise takes you further, as well as skin and tissue cells react more quickly.

The Reason Behind It

So why make an anti-aging HGH product? The answer you will probably hear when you ask someone is because people want to look and FEEL more youthful. Many studies show that HGH can produce this effect to a nice degree. In recent years with the advancement of medicine, HGH treatments have become more and more commonplace, and many people can obtain an HGH supplement in one form or another without a doctor’s consent.

All of this sounds extremely promising, and the research into the effect of an anti-aging HGH product continues as you read this, but there is never an easy answer when it comes to the hands of time. Usage of any hormone tends to have side effects, and anyone considering HGH treatments should become aware of the possibilities. The body is a delicate machine, if you start adding too much of one thing it will probably fall out of synch.

Know What You’re Using

HGH was originally made as a treatment to counter-balance those that had a deficiency of the hormone. Anyone considering an anti-aging HGH product should become intimately aware of its effect, and some products use very little of the actual hormone, or take a homeopathic approach to its delivery using small doses to eventually gain a larger effect. Always consider the dosage when concerning any anti-aging HGH product as too high of a dose, especially in a person who may have extra HGH in their system already, could cause undesirable and dangerous side effects. It’s a necessity to speak with a doctor when thinking about any treatment involving hormones.

Proposing on valentine s day - how to make sure she says yes

What a way to make sure that she remembers Valentine’s Day this year! Go ahead and plan a great way for you to propose to her. But, since this is such a wonderfully romantic day, you’ll need to find a way to do it in an extra special way to make it that much more enjoyable for you both.

Here are some helpful ideas about how to have a Valentines Day you will remember for the rest of your lives together.

At The Restaurant

One way that you can do this is to let the manager of the location in on what you are doing. If you do, they are sure to make sure that the evening goes well for you. They may be able to provide you with some extra ideas or to make the most of this. Some will even provide you with a cake to go with your special day. In fact, you may be able to take that cake and have the words, “Marry Me” added to it.

Candy

You can use candies to propose in a number of ways. For example, replace one of the candies in a heart shaped box of them with an engagement ring wrapped in red tissue paper. Or, take all of the “Marry Me” candies out of the big bag of candy hearts and present a box full of them to her. Make sure to present her ring and get down on one knee after you give them to her.

On The Air

If she has a special radio station that she always listens to, call in and ask the announcer if you can propose on the air. You may need to actually purchase some air time to do so; you’ll need to make sure you have plenty of time to do this.

A Surprise

Not the romantic type? If you aren’t, she is sure to catch on when you want to have an especially romantic dinner. Instead, make sure you find a unique way to present the question to her. If you can get the waiter alone, ask them to include the ring in that is tied to a ribbon in her menu. Or, slop it around her drink. There are many ways in which you can make it a surprise. Once she sees the ring, make sure to pop the question!

Another way to go about surprising her is through anything but a romantic dinner. For example, if she reads novels, grab one of the ones that she has read, glue the pages together except for the center and then cut a small hole into the book, just big enough for the ring. Leave it on the nightstand or on her pillow.

Theater

Do you both love to visit the theater? If so, this can be the perfect place to propose. See if the theater will allow you to propose on stage. In fact, you may be able to get the actors and the manager in on it too. Ask them if there is a way that they can help you with the task at hand. Or, perhaps purchase some ad space in the program for that evening. Include your first name, her first name and a “Marry Me” question. Make sure to point it out if she doesn’t see it.

Roses

Visit your florist and ask them to tie the ring inside the bouquet, or do it yourself. Then, when you present them, make sure to tell her to look for the ring inside.

These are some special ways that you can make proposals just perfect for your special love. Valentine’s Day makes them that much more special!

Why get an adoption attorney

We live in a world governed by laws. These laws are there to give our chaotic world a sense of order.

These laws may sometimes seem to only complicate things. However, the creation of these laws has one objective in mind and that is the assurance of the progress of civilization.

The most miniscule things that we do nowadays have at least one law attached to them. Even adoption has specific laws attached to it. Gone, theoretically, are the days when a child left on your doorstep could be taken in as your own and no one would question your right to.

The laws involving adoption are complex. You need help in order to guide you through the maze of words and terminologies and conditions.

That's where an adoption attorney comes in.

What are the advantages in hiring an adoption attorney?

Here are some of them:

1. Specialization - as we all know, the law has a lot of aspects, and each aspect presents its own complication. While some lawyers may be gifted with the ability to successfully practice different types of the law, the fact is that you need someone who specializes in adoption.

An adoption attorney brings to the table this specialization. This assures you that he is a master of the adoption game. That he/she focuses on this aspect of the law alone assures you that he/she has a very specific knowledge of it.

An adoption attorney can help you much better than a lawyer-of-all-trades can.

2. Explanation - an adoption attorney will be able to reveal to you the different complications and solutions of adoption clearly.

An adoption attorney can show you the big picture. With the help of an adoption attorney, you can understand what you are up against and how to get past every roadblock.

A clear-cut explanation is what you need, not some vague reassurance that everything will be alright.

This explanation can and will be provided to you by a good adoption attorney.

3. Plan - a good adoption attorney can help you formulate a plan in order to make your adoption work. He/she takes into consideration every potential problem and every probable solution.

Audit advice that you need

Oh no! You need audit advice. You just received in the mail a notification that you are going to be audited by the IRS. What now? How do you respond to this and should you be having a heart attack now? While many people lose it as soon as they realize that the IRS is going to be asking for their records and proof, the fact of the matter is that the best audit advice is to stay calm and gather the information that you need carefully, accurately and without worry.

Before you put it to the side and decide to deal with it later, (it won’t go away by the way) take the time to respond to it. Give the IRS a call and find out what is going on and when they want to come and see your paperwork. This simple phone call can help you find the right information before you react the wrong way. Remember, it’s not the fault of the lady on the other side of the phone, that this is yours either. So, be nice, play fair and be honest.

Do you need some extra time to get your information in order? Need to dig out that box, organize it and hope that it's all there? Then make sure to ask for a postponement of the audit. This audit advice is very important: don’t wait until the last minute to do it either! Call them up and ask for a small delay so that you can get things in order. Simple, done.

Lastly, it is important to realize that most audits are simply needed because of minor errors. You added or subtracted wrong. You entered the wrong information on the wrong line. That type of thing occurs everyday. This audit advice is to be honest about what is happening with you. So, you made a mistake. Fix it by providing a good attitude to the IRS auditor that comes to see you.

The success and freedom of home based travel businesses

Between the start up costs and overhead, most people can only dream of starting a store based business. Even those who take the risk are now more likely to fail than ever before because of high taxes and increasing rents. Internet based companies, however, do not require the fancy and expensive retail location. Instead, these business owners are able to run their companies from the comfort of their own house — even in their pajamas if they like!

Those who work online never worry about additional rent, utilities, and shop upkeep. They only require a computer and an Internet connection to be well on their way to building a successful business. This is the way that home based travel businesses make their money.

The global economy is growing larger and larger each day. This means Internet based companies are able to connect with potential clients all over the world, creating a limitless supply of customers and a limitless source of revenue. It seems that everyone is making purchases online and this means that the market is saturated with customers, but not enough providers to service them.

Home based travel businesses are experiencing one of the largest booms in Internet sales history. As the population ages, more and more people are taking longer vacations. It is estimated that in the next few years this industry will increase by 500%. What a great time to get into the game.

Anyone looking to start their own online business needs to consider the education and technology they will require in order to be successful. A great way to minimize the stress of start up is to join a larger company that will be willing to provide all the materials required for home based travel businesses to succeed.

The key to success for any company is a secure foundation of preparation. Before starting a company, the owner needs to understand their product, know their market, and be in tune with their customers. By joining forces with an already established company, new business owners will be able to benefit from their knowledge and avoid making common rooky mistakes.

Even the largest companies feel the financial burden associated with soliciting new customers. By working with an established company, home based travel businesses can reap the benefits of already established customer bases and leave the marketing to the parent company. This not only reduces cost, but also eliminates the massive drain on time that marketing can create. A great example of this concept is seen in any franchise; given the choice of opening an independent burger joint or an already established franchise, the one who chooses the franchise will have more success.

Unfortunately, as with everything else in life, there are good and bad companies out there. One of the most reputable in the industry can be found at homebased-travelagents. com. This company is dedicated to providing members with full support during their training and right through the life of their business. They offer one of the highest commission percentages in the industry and are definitely the place to start if you are considering a career in this exciting field.

Does your insurance company want you

Is it better to be loyal to your auto insurance company or yourself? Does it pay to stay with the same company for a long time or not? When it comes to auto insurance these days, if you are with the same company for over a year, then your more than likely being treated like yesterdays success. When I say yesterdays success I mean, your agent usually doesn’t have time to focus on old business, instead they are hungry looking for new auto insurance policies to write. There are multiple reasons why it pays to be willing to pack up and leave for the next good deal!

First off, did you know that most companies have a discount for new customers? They entice you to stay by lowering that discount each year, in hopes of gaining loyalty in the meantime. Isn’t this backwards? Shouldn’t they be lowering the rate each year for being loyal and staying with them?

Then there are all the really old customers out there with low deductibles. Once again the agent didn’t have time to review deductibles and educate how much money could be saved by raising them even a few hundred dollars. Think of your policy. When was the last time your agent called to make sure you were happy with your coverage?

What about credit and your auto insurance policy. This topic has raised more controversy than any when it comes to auto insurance. If you have been with the same company for a long time, this area is far too often costing the customer hundreds of dollars. I have even seen where up to date Insurance scores have saved thousands per year!

The list could go on and on forever why you will save by being a new customer. Let me sum it all up for you in simplified terms. Insurance companies are literally fighting for your business now days. Competition does one simple thing, saves you money. The same companies have become far too comfortable with there loyal customers. Wake them up. Comparison shop to get better prices.

Take advantage of the competition. Get quotes from multiple companies and let them start competing for your business. If your interested in an excellent source to get quotes from multiple companies with one simple process, then click on the highlighted text. Otherwise shop around wherever you feel comfortable. Take my advice though, and your going to be surprised how much you can save.

Airsoft parts a need for every airsoft enthusiast

In every airsoft game, there is a need for a powerful weapon. It may not be the only element in winning a game. Wit and agility may help but using a weapon that is outclassed in a game can be suicide. For this reason, airsoft parts are very important to all the enthusiasts of this game. Not only can airsoft parts improve the performance of their weapons, they can also change the appearance of their weapons. Airsoft is not just about wars and exchage of ammos, it is also an alert that involves the maintenance and customization of one’s firearm.

Choosing the Right Parts

In order to answer this need, many manufacturers have put several types of airsoft parts in the market. Internal parts consist of air nozzles, bushings, cylinder heads, gears, hop up parts, inner barrels, mech boxes, motors, pistons, piston heads, selector plates, shims, spring guides, springs, tappet plates ane wiring. These are usually used for upgrading AEG airsoft guns. There are also external parts like butt plates, hand guards, folding stocks, grips and body kits that can improve the appearance of airsoft guns. There are also upgrade parts for sniper rifles and upgrade kits for beginners who will upgrading their weapons for the first time. Accessing them is quite easy. Choosing the right parts for a weapon can be a bit tricky. There are some parts that are not compatible with some weapons. Also, there are some airsoft parts that are not legal in some states. These are the things that one needs to get consider when picking some airsoft parts.

Airsoft Must-Haves

Before going for upgrades and dressing up one’s firearm, certain items should be bought first. These are things that are necessary for one’s safety during a game. A tactical vest can serve as an extra layer that can protect a player’s body from hits. At 300 to 600 fps, the round pellets can cause some severe wounds. Having a face mask is also a must. It has the same purpose as that of a vest. It will act like a second skin that will protect your face from wounds and scarring. Of course, getting a pair of goggles is of utmost importance. These will protect a player’s eyes from getting hit by BB’s during a game.

Every player must also make sure that his gear is complete. Some games do last more than an afternoon and making sure that one’s supplies will last during the battle can determine the result of the game. One must always have extra magazines, pellets and batteries. In buying batteries, one must always remember that the more mAh a battery has the more rounds it can shoot with a single charge. Bringing a charger along can also be useful. Finding a good charger that can input a precise charge into a battery and automatically discharge any left over charge will make it last longer. For long battles under the hot sun, having a canteen or a special hydration gear can be a great idea.

Interest-only or 50 year mortgages - do they really make sense

With hotspots like Las Vegas, much of California and Florida still enjoying a good real estate market, many banks and mortgage companies are now spreading out payments over 50 years to make them more affordable. Prior to these 50-year mortgages, interest-only mortgages were promoted and sold as the way to go. The real question here is which is better?

Let’s first digress on what an interest-only mortgage is. Interest-only home loans or mortgages aren’t as a general rule permanently interest-only. The bank or mortgage company will normally offer the borrower 2 to 5 years at interest-only; after that they must start paying off the principle. During this time, the principle has grown. A great many borrowers may find themselves unable to pay the higher payments that come at the end of this interest-only period. In this case, interest-only loans are similar to ARMs, and have similar default and foreclosure rates (higher than for regular fixed mortgages where the payment stays the same throughout).

The 50-year mortgage simply spreads your payments out over a longer time period and greatly increases the amount of interest you will payback; this also tends to reduce your build-up of equity. Alex Diaz Jr., Vice President of Statewide Bancorp in Rancho Cucamonga, stated that “the 50-year mortgage has particular appeal in California because prices are higher than the rest of the country. The 30-year fixed mortgage is great, but with gas prices so high, people we're dealing with are concerned about making prices work, and the 50-year mortgage is something they're starting to consider." The real estate market has grown by leaps and bounds in California with the average home selling in excess of $300,000.

The 50-year mortgage was designed to do three things. First, it makes it much easier for someone to buy a home in these high price areas. Second, it can help buffer and insulate the borrower against a housing bubble or possible localized deflation. Third, it keeps the selling prices high. However, many so-called real estate experts will tell you that the interest-only loan does the same thing, but does it? The main problem with the interest-only loan is that it does not insulate or offer any protection for the borrower from increasing principle, negative equity (which can happen should there be a drop in housing prices), and, of course, those increasing payments when the term you agreed is over.

Keeping this in mind, plus the fact that there is only a very minor difference in initial payments (payments over the interest-only period), clearly the 50-year mortgage should be a better way to go.

If your budget allows, a good tactic to use is to make bi-monthly payments which will reduce the interest and term of the loan saving you many thousands of dollars. There are many lenders out there now offering this option to their borrowers. As they say, the real money in real estate is made from buying low and selling high.

The problem is that in most of these hot communities, the selling price often ends up being much higher than the asking price, plus houses do not stay on the market for very long at all. So, buying low is normally out of the question. Just try finding a bargain foreclosure or HUD homes for sale in California, it's a little like trying to find gold in the old days. In these hot communities, the real money is made by buying and holding for a number of years allowing for the yearly increases and returns on additions and upgrades. Money can be made for sure, but with a uncertain future. It is really best to have a payment program set in stone – always use a fixed term and rate mortgage. You can still sell in five years or less, make money, and have the added comfort of a fixed payment.

Music education and the smarter you

Music education makes you smart. Smart people educate themselves with music. Both are true to an extent. What is it about music that increases you brains efficiency? From a teacher’s standpoint, the answers are quite obvious. Because music education is such a broad topic, let’s condense it to the studying of an instrument... more specifically the piano.

Teachers have noticed through the years that students seem to get sharper mentally with every lesson. Even the ones that don’t practice a lot seem sharper at the end of a lesson as compared to the beginning… although many teachers can think of a couple of past students who seemed to get more sluggish with every lesson. Thankfully, those types of pupils were the exception rather than the rule. So what aspects of mental capacity are improved by piano playing?

Hand eye coordination vastly improves with instrumental training on the piano. You can better judge distances between notes while playing of notes simultaneously, and there are a whole list of coordination demands that come from the gradual improving of fine motor skills.

Reading skills expand. If you think of music as a language, you are constantly improving your musical vocabulary with more compositions and technical exercises.

Memory, both visual and touch, is given a workout. In this regard, the phrase “use it or lose it” comes to mind. Musicians who constantly memorize new pieces just seem to be sharp in the memory capacity, provided they have a fairly healthy lifestyle.

EQ is forced to develop when performing the works of other composers. You really must feel and understand what a composer felt when composing a work; you will have trouble performing the work effectively for others if you don’t.

Apart from studying the piano, the study of theory and history go hand in hand with the study of any instrument. Knowing about the history of a composer helps you to interpret a piece and improves your music knowledge base. Interpretive improvement is also achieved through the comprehension of a piano piece’s structure. This understanding is obtained through theory knowledge. Music theory is often compared with math and it can be improved gradually, provided the student has a sound foundation.

Ferringo college report joe pa takes a tumble

Pretty nondescript weekend in college football, eh? Thursday doesn’t count towards the weekend, lads. Yeah, the Big East may have been decided, the Big Two had minor scares, and some old guy got mugged on the Penn State sideline. Oh, wait. That was Joe Pa. My bad. But I will say that had to be the most unintentionally funny moment involving a senior citizen and a collision since Bob Dole lost his battle with gravity in California in 1996.

Granted, it was nice to see a football player in Tennessee not named “Pac Man” getting arrested for a bar fight, and it’s always nice when Butch Davis is suddenly not the guy who spent four years sucking his thumb in the fetal position in Cleveland, but Week 10 still seemed like it was missing something. And it wasn’t Jean-Luc Picard.

I don’t know. When you find it, let me know. In the meantime, here are a few leftover thoughts from the World of College Football:

- Memo to Bob Ryan: Georgia isn’t the only team in the South that plays “between the hedges”. Auburn comes to mind. The whole idea of his story was to gather insight into why those Simple Southerners love college football. Instead, he made himself look like and asshole. Good show.

- Florida managed to hold off a game Vanderbilt club, but they lost DT Marcus Thomas for the rest of the year. Thomas, who was recently spotted with Puff The Magic Dragon, is believed to have failed a drug test. What is this world coming to when college kids are doing drugs?

- Memo to Chase Daniels: There are cameras on you. Lots of them. In fact, ESPN is only slightly less intrusive than the National Security Agency and a proctologist. For those of you that don’t know, the Missouri quarterback was caught on the Worldwide Leader picking his nose and eating it. Yup. It’s as bad as it sounds.

- Great weekend for the Bluegrass State. First, Louisville downed West Virginia in an outstanding and exciting game on Thursday. Next, Kentucky stunned staggering Georgia on Saturday. Good times, and I’m sure plenty of moonshine was imbibed throughout the ordeal.

However, I’m still not sure that the best team won that WVU-Louisville game. I’m not taking anything away from the Cards. They’re an outstanding team. Truly top-notch. But they were playing at home, befitted from six fumbles (three recovered), and managed both a special teams and defensive touchdown. That stuff is a little fluky to me.

I still hold to the claim that Louisville will not go undefeated. I said it last week, and I’ll say it again.

- It’s a good thing LSU won that game because they got screwed – AGAIN – by the officials. That ball CLEARLY touched a Tennessee blocker in the second quarter even though replay upheld the ruling as a touchback. Instead of being up 14-0 and on the way to a blowout, they made me sweat out a stirring fourth-quarter comeback.

Oh, and DT Glenn Dorsey is a friggin’ man-imal.

- Weird, Notre Dame didn’t cover again.

And if Brady Quinn wins the Heisman, I’ll puke. I know that no one wants to win the award this year, but there’s no way he gets it over Mike Hart. And yes, I know Troy Smith will win it, but my vote goes to Hart. That guy is carrying the Wolverines.

- Do you think Iowa State missed Stevie Hicks? Note to self: always bet against a team that just lost its senior leader and best offensive player.

- How about a round of applause for Buffalo. The Bulls shook off the fact that they’re in Upstate New York in November, and that 41-0 drubbing at B. C., to hammer visiting Kent State 41-14 as 16-point dogs. It must seem like forever ago that the Golden Flashes were the Cinderella team atop the MAC.

- Kudos to the Houston defense. All of the focus heading into their showdown with Tulsa was on the Hurricane secondary against Kevin Kolb. But it was the Cougars defense that really made the difference by holding Tulsa to a mere 10 points.

Along those same lines, you had to be impressed by San Jose State shutting out New Mexico State in the second half on Saturday. Say what you will about how bad the Aggies are, they were playing at home and were completely locked down by a Spartans defense on a mission.

- So much for a letdown from Oregon State. Good go. They’ve been hopped up on adrenaline, amphetamines and anger for two weeks now and absolutely destroyed the utterly befuddled Arizona State squad. The Beavers are suddenly No. 24 in the BCS rankings after their fourth straight win.

And poor Stanford. Can you imagine what it must’ve been like at those practices last week? It must have felt something like Nagasaki on Aug. 10, right after those U. S. warning leaflets rained down over them and one day before The Rapture rained down over them.

- My hated rival, Bob Stoops, had another great weekend. No, the Sooners didn’t cover. But they did score their second straight impressive Big 10 road win by topping Texas A&M. Stoops showed a lot of stones going for it on fourth-and-1, from his own 29-yard line, with less than two minutes to go in a one-point game. Maybe it’s luck. Or maybe he’s that good. I’ll let you decide.

- Those are some huge stones that Stoops showed, but how about Houston’s Nutts? The Arkansas skipper also made a bold maneuver when he yanked golden boy Mitch Mustain after one pass – ONE PASS – against South Carolina. Yes, that pass was intercepted. But now Nutt has opened the Pandora’s Box of a quarterback controversy. Sophomore Casey Dick played well, and has been named the starter, but this is a fine line that Nutt is walking. It’s a gamble – and you know we respect that around here.

The vicious cycle of antidepressant drugs and acne

In today's world, depression ought to be a major concern. Thousands are reported to suffer from the problem. Potentially thousands more cases of depression are going by unreported and untreated. The fact that sales of antidepressant drugs are fairly consistent serves as concrete proof that the condition is a problem. It has become such a concern that most organizations and systems designed to deal with suicide focus on spotting people with depression, inadvertently ignoring other suicide triggers. While antidepressant drugs are known to be effective in helping ward off the symptoms, there are other things that people have to be concerned over.

Acne is also a problem, though hardly one that is as large a concern as depression ought to be. Unlike mental disorders, acne is easily spotted because it has tell-tale physical signs that mark its presence. On their own, these marks are relatively minor concerns at best and are frustrating annoyances in most cases. However, it is the wide range of side effects that acne can have that is considered to be the real problem. With a myriad of social troubles in store for anyone that develops acne, it is understandable that some would worry about their physical appearance and social standing. This social isolation can result in someone developing depression and turning to antidepressant drugs to help dull the pain. However, depending on the drug, this might just inadvertently make things worse.

For a few years, some antidepressant drugs have been cited as having the side effect of causing acne. In this regard, zoloft is often cited as the primary culprit. There is no concrete medical evidence of such, but there has been more than adequate evidence to prompt various organizations to conduct research. There is also enough evidence to convince some to avoid taking zoloft and other chemically similar antidepressant drugs to avoid developing acne.

There have also been reports of a sort of reversal of this problem manifesting in some patients. In particular, some of the newer topical drugs used to combat acne are being cited as having the side effect of causing users to become depressed. Again, there is little actual chemical evidence, but some pharmaceutical companies have conducted research into the matter and have admitted that there is a possibility.

This puts people in a rather interesting situation. There have been some reports of people with acne taking anti-acne medication and becoming depressed, even as the acne fades. One possibility that might occur from this can result in a patient continually taking antidepressants to combat his depression, which are caused by acne that are the side effect of the very same antidepressants he's taking in the first place. While the chances of something of that sort happening are relatively low, it can still happen and most of the medical community would rather not have to deal with such a bizarre outcome.

There have also been reports of patients with depression developing acne after being treated with certain antidepressant drugs. These cases have not been directly related to either acne medication or antidepressant drugs, but there are some that believe they've found chemical evidence hinting towards a connection. For the time being, however, the medical community is still skeptical. There are warnings against taking anti-acne and antidepressants at the same time, but this is only as a precaution until concrete evidence one way or the other can be determined.

Medicare offers insurance coverage for prescription medicines

Most of us know the value of good insurance, whether it's life, home, auto or health. Medicare is now offering insurance coverage for prescription medicines to help seniors and disabled persons with the cost of their medicines.

Those who join a drug plan will pay a monthly premium (just as they do now for their Medicare doctor visits), pay a part of the cost of their prescription medicines and may have a deductible, depending on the plan they join. But unlike some types of insurance, people with Medicare cannot be turned down for prescription drug coverage.

On average, people with Medicare spend over $2,800 per year on prescription medicines, more than $1,500 of which they currently pay out of their own pockets. With the new Medicare coverage, the money that an individual will spend out of pocket is expected to drop to about $850.

Even those seniors who currently take few medicines and spend little money will have the security of knowing they're protected for future prescription drug needs. This coverage is important because health care needs generally increase with age-the chance of having more than one chronic health problem doubles by the time beneficiaries reach 80 years - as does the need for prescription medicines. About 85 percent of Medicare beneficiaries who are ages 65 to 74 use at least one prescription medication.

Health care needs are unpredictable and people with Medicare who don't initially sign up will have to wait until the next calendar year even if their health care needs change. When they do sign up later they will pay more for the coverage because there is a penalty-a higher premium-for those who do not already have equivalent coverage. Paying higher premiums the longer you wait is the same way life insurance works.

The new Medicare prescription drug coverage provides access, protection and peace of mind, just like every other type of insurance.

Cocktail the perfect mixed drink

“Cocktail” is a type of mixed drink which is consumed in almost all countries. It is a type of liquor with flavouring agents. It contains fruit juice, sauces, honey, milk, cream or spices, etc. Cocktails had become popular recently. The disadvantage of buying cocktail is that many bar owners mix both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with the drink. This is very hazardous to consume.

The olden day’s cocktails were made in combination with gin, whisky or rum and with a small amount of vodka. Many cocktails were made traditionally by mixing it with gin which is called as gimlet or martini. This type of mixed drinks was introduced after 1980’s. The word cocktail was determined by Dr. David Wonderich in October 2005.

A benefit of drinking a sip of cocktail is that it will keep you relieved from head ache. “Cocktail” is liquor composed of sugar, water and bitter agents. It is also called as bittered sling. And it is also supposed to be an electioneering potion, since it keeps the heart stout and bold. A person who swallows one sip of cocktail is ready to swallow anything else.

The quality and quantity of alcohol present in cocktail is very less when compared to the other alcoholic drinks. The cost of cocktails also has a big difference when compared to other drinks. So nowadays bartenders have started preparing cocktails. Cocktails are mixed with different types of other drink such as gin, whisky, milk and cream but it is not mixed with water. The mixed ingredients depend upon the region.

Cocktails are served in special cocktail glass. The cocktail glass is of a shape with a wide, shallow bowl, on a stem above a flat base. The cocktail glasses are designed in such a shape that the temperature should not change. How to plan the perfect spring break family vacation

:
From time to time everyone needs some time away from their life. It does not matter if you are 10 years old and in 5th grade or 35 years old and working a full time job, to maintain good mental health you have to take the occasional vacation.

Some time around the beginning of April most public and private schools have Spring Break from School which is a great time to plan a vacation.

Most vacations when you have children become about them, and you wind up at places like Disney land or some other child orientated vacation spot, but what about you?

Las Vegas used to be known as an adult getaway where what happens there stays there. This is no longer the case. Over the past 15 years, Las Vegas realized that more money can be made from a family orientated city rater then just from gambling.

Many casinos started adding attractions for children like go carts and other amusements, and many other activities aimed at giving a child a good time, but the casinos also opened up day care centers, so parents can get some time to enjoy themselves as well.

I know when I would go to Disney World with my kids after the 2nd or 3rd day I was looking forward to getting back to work.

For the last several years we have been going to Las Vegas for our family Vacations over spring break and the kids enjoy it. They get to go on roller coasters, swim, play video games, watch movie the list really goes on and on for all the things they can do, and I get to spend a few hours ever day with my wife in the spa getting a message, eating in nice restaurants and playing some Blackjack in the casinos.

Since we started doing this I have seen my family grow closer. My wife noticed that I am in a better mood for the rest of the year after we get back from vacation. I am enjoying my job more and all in all life is just better.

Putting together a Los Vegas vacation is very simple to do. You can go to a travel agent, or do it yourself online. I have always preferred to go to a travel agent and just let them do it, but if you are trying to save money you can get some good deals online that a travel agent can't or won't offer you.

If you choose to do it yourself, it is easy to do. You can go to your computer and do a search for Las Vegas. You will see every casinos and hotel listed and you can go thru them one at a time and see what they offer for you and your family to do.

You will also see everything the city and surrounding areas have to offer, and there really are tons of fun things for everyone in Las Vegas.

I hope to see you and your family there.

What you must know about cataract surgery

If you have a cataract it means the natural lens in your eye is cloudy. In a cataract operation your surgeon will remove the cloudy lens and put an artificial clear lens in its place. Your lens sits behind the coloured part of your eye (the iris) and helps you to see things in focus.

When you look at something, light comes into your eye through the hole in the centre (the pupil) and passes through the lens to the back of the eyeball (the retina). The light is then changed into nerve signals that travel to your brain. Your brain tells you what the image is.

If the lens is cloudy, the image on the back of the eye will be blurred. It’s rather like looking through a dirty windscreen or frosted glass. Different parts of the lens can become cloudy. Commonly cataracts begin as clouding around the edges of the lens.

You may notice that you get a lot of glare or a ‘halo’ effect around bright lights, or when the sun is low in the sky. If you drive you might find oncoming headlights more difficult to cope with than before. Cataracts can also affect the middle of the lens, which makes your vision foggy. As the cataract grows:your sight becomes blurry;you may have double vision;you may find it hard to tell the difference between some colours, especially shades of blue;you may see ‘halo’ effects around lights, especially at night.

Cataracts are common. About a third of people aged over 65 have cataracts in one or both eyes. Getting older and exposure to bright sunlight are the main reasons people get cataracts. Having diabetes, smoking and drinking too much alcohol may also increase your risk of cataracts.

A cataract operation can:help you see better and stop your poor sight interfering with your life. Not everyone with a cataract needs an operation. Doctors usually suggest the operation when your cataract interferes with your daily life rather than when your eyesight reaches a particular score on a sight test. Your cataract may mean you can’t see well enough to read, work, play a sport, go shopping or drive a car.

Some people manage with their cataract for longer than others because their poorer sight does not affect them much. For example, a person who loves bird-watching may decide they need treatment before a person whose main hobby is listening to music. In the past, people were advised that their cataract had to be ‘ripe’ (very bad) before it was worth having an operation.

This is because cataract surgery was a big operation that took a long time to recover from, and the artificial lenses used then were not very good. Now, with safer, quicker operations, cataracts are generally removed earlier, before they cause serious problems. And modern lenses are better.

Sometimes a cataract should be removed even if it does not cause problems with your sight. This is because there is another eye problem that needs treating and the cataract is in the way. Examples of other eye problems are diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. They are problems with the blood vessels in the eye. If you have cataracts in both eyes, it’s normal to do them one eye at a time, usually a couple of months or more apart. This is because the treated eye can be sore and needs to settle down for a while.

A cataract operation usually lasts about 10 minutes to 20 minutes. You should be able to go home the same day. You may know someone who has stayed overnight after their cataract operation. People usually only stay in hospital if they have problems after their operation, if they have other eye diseases (glaucoma, for example) or other medical problems that doctors need to check.

For most people it’s as safe to be at home as it is to stay in hospital, and most people prefer to be in familiar surroundings. At hospitals that are very experienced in doing cataract surgery, you may be in and out of the hospital within 90 minutes.

Credit card types unsecured

There are two basic credit card types: secured and unsecured. This article explores some of the issues associated with unsecured credit cards.

First, what is an unsecured credit card? An unsecured credit card is a card (and credit line) that does not require any security deposit from you. These unsecured credit cards are generally intended for those people with a fairly good credit history.

Nearly all unsecured credit cards will come with a credit limit. This is the total amount of credit that you can charge to the card. If you go over that limit, you may be penalized. The actual amount of the credit limit is determined by the card issuer and it does not have to be same for every person. In other words, one person may have a limit of $500 while another may have a limit of $5000.

There are some important issues associated with an unsecured credit card that consumers should understand. A few of those issues include:

The Grace Period: You should read and understand the grace period that applies to each of your credit cards. The grace period is the amount of time that you have to pay your balance before the card issuer begins charging you interest on the balance. If you pay your balance in full before the grace period ends you will not be charged interest. Each company has its own amount of time for grace payments so be sure you read each company's policy.

Annual Fee: Before you apply for an unsecured credit card see if the company charges an annual fee. This is a yearly fee that is charged to your account or may have to be paid in advance. Annual fees are more often associated with secured credit cards but you may see them with unsecured as well.

Balance Transfer: Your unsecured credit card may offer what is known as a balance transfer. A balance transfer is when you have an existing balance with another company and you transfer that balance over to the new card.

Why would you do this? If the new card has a substantially lower interest rate you can save money.

Annual Percentage Rate: Of particular interest to anyone who plans to apply for or use an unsecured credit card is the APR that is associated with the card. This is the amount of interest that the company will charge you if you do not pay off the full balance within the grace period allowed. As you might imagine, the lower the ARP, the less you will have to pay in interest charges.

Finance Charge: Your unsecured credit card may include finance charges that are above and beyond the APR. Finance charges are most often triggered when you take out a cash advance. Again, make sure you understand these charges before you use the card for purposes that trigger added finance charges.

Gold or Platinum Cards: These cards usually carry a higher credit limit and may come with some extra benefits or reward programs. These are nice to have but make sure you are not paying extra for something that you will not use.

Internet is a gold mine for mesothelioma lawyers

One man's misery can be another man's fortune. This seems to be the case with the mesothelioma victims on the one hand and mesothelioma lawyers on the other. An online feeding frenzy is currently taking place. The average mesothelioma case today is settled at around 1 million dollars, and that figure jumps to 6 million dollars when the lawsuit goes to the courts. With such enormous money to be made, legal firms are hungry for a slice of the action, and are shelling out big money for online visitors. The result is that search engines and other sites that can supply them with those visitors are racking up huge revenue.

It works like this. In the sponsored listings of search engines, clicks (visitors) are auctioned off to the highest bidder. When someone searches “mesothelioma”, the highest-bidding law firms appear. With the keen competition, these firms are paying as much as $100 per mesothelioma-related visitor to their web site. That’s $100 every time someone just clicks on their ad - and a lot of the clicks are from competitors. Less than one in ten visitors may actually submit an inquiry about the services of the legal firm. And only a fraction of the inquiries convert into clients. Therefore, it is costing lawyers tens of thousands of dollars in advertising to secure a single client.

There is something truly obscene about this situation. But, it is inevitable that while there is huge money to be made from litigation, lawyers and publishers will continue to hustle for their slice of the action. You can even find these vultures on YouTube making an undignified pitch for business. If only a portion of the money could be directed to cancer research. Perhaps these legal firms and others who profit from this horrendous disease should consider donating a portion of their gains to research organizations. By doing so, they may appear a little more genuine and less like vultures.

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer linked to asbestos exposure. In fact, 70% to 80% of mesothelioma cases are caused by a history of exposure to asbestos. It can take decades for the symptoms to appear. Each year, approximately 2,000 to 3,000 new cases of mesothelioma are reported. In the past 20 years, the number of reported cases has increased significantly. Although it can take up to 50 years for symptoms to manifest, mesothelioma patients experience a host of symptoms. These include shortness of breath, or a wheezing and hacking cough, which often lead to chest or abdominal pain. In the more serious cases, individuals may have bowel blockages, anaemia, a bloody cough, and jaundice. It is extremely difficult to secure accurate statistics about how many individuals suffer from mesothelioma because in the early stages, the symptoms are quite similar to various other conditions. This often leads to a misdiagnosis of the disease. In addition, when an accurate diagnosis is finally made, the disease has typically already progressed to a more advanced stage.

With the renovation craze that has occurred in the past 2 or 3 decades in countries such as Australia and the US, it is expected that the high rates of diagnosis will continue for decades to come. And as long as there is money to be made from this disease, the vultures will also be around.

Causes scalp eczema

Scalp Eczema

I am often asked what is the best remedy for dry scaly scalp - or another question is what are scaly bumps on scalp? If you too ask this question, you are likely suffering from Eczema of the scalp. Eczema is an itchy, prickly irritation of the skin that can be extremely annoying to those who are unfortunate enough to be affected with this malady. People can be affected with eczema all over the entire body, but one of the most common types of eczema is that which affects the scalp.

Where and When Does Scalp Eczema Begin?

When you have eczema of the scalp, the oil glands contained in the skin of your scalp are involved. These oil glands are connected to the follicles of the hair, and their job is to produce enough oil to keep the skin of the scalp smooth and supple as well as to keep the hair from being dry and rough to the touch. This involvement of the oil glands is why scalp eczema also goes by the name of either Seborrhoeic dermatitis, or Seborrhoeic eczema. This type of eczema affects the parts of the body that produce more skin oil than other areas are known to, such as the scalp, eyebrows, and sides of the nose. You may have first noticed scaly scalp or bumps. Many times, scalp eczema starts at puberty, when the oil glands in the scalp began to produce more oil than usual because of the influx of hormones that have begun to flood the body. But, this disorder can appear on a person of any age. It seems to be a bit more common in men than in women, although females certainly suffer from it as well. Scalp eczema is known to be a chronic condition in that it can flare up seemingly for no reason at all, and then retreat, not to be seen again for months or years. Or, it can be an ongoing condition where the time without any symptoms is quite rare.

What Causes Scalp Eczema?

No one is exactly sure what the cause of scalp eczema is, but there are several theories as to why it occurs, such as – Hormones, no matter what your age group A skin fungusToxins in the body which seem to overwhelm the immune system Stress, which in turn can further aggravate the condition.

Symptoms of Scalp Eczema

Scalp eczema can start out with very mild symptoms. In fact, many people are totally unaware that they have this skin condition until it has gotten out of hand. The first telltale sign is a slight case of dandruff which can quickly escalate to an unusually oily scalp with extremely itchy, red and irritated skin. Scaly patches of skin with a yellowish crust from the excess oil are also quite common. Itching of the scalp of course causes scratching, which eventually breaks the skin and can create open sores.

Treatment of Scalp Eczema

There are a number of topical creams and ointments on the market which are manufactured to treat scalp eczema and help the itching, excess oiliness and flaky skin. Medicated shampoos are also helpful, and may be used on a regular basis to help control symptoms. Many times, doctors will prescribe hydrocortisone (also known as steroids) to treat scalp eczema, but studies have shown that this only masks the symptoms. The steroid treatment does nothing to get to the actual cause of the disorder, but merely helps to relieve the itching, which can allow the skin to begin to heal.

Scalp on the scalp eczema has the maddening habit of recurring once you think you have it conquered and cease treatment. But beginning a treatment routine at the first sign of a flare up is the only way to keep a bout with scalp eczema from getting out of hand. I am often asked what is the best remedy for dry scaly scalp?

You can use a variety of natural treatment including slight diet adjustments for a while and also by using natural oils such as hemp or neem and lavender to soothe and heal. You can also do a lot to help your scalp by using products that are gentle on your skin instead of harsh cleansing ingredients found in most shampoos. To find a good shampoo for scalp eczema look for one that doesn’t contain sulphates (a harsh foaming agent called a surfactant) and instead contains natural surfactants like yukka or coconut. Scalp eczema and other scaly scalp conditions can be eliminated by understanding what to avoid and what you can use at home to nourish and heal your scalp.
